If you have ever dreamed of a luxurious and breathtaking home, a designed townhouse or a WEWORK city style workspace complex, don’t be surprised if you hear the name Shir Chen Shukovsky in a hallway conversation that is breaking the luxury home market in Israel with innovative and original designs that inspire admiration in the local design scene.
Meiden has a well-established design concept and creates breathtaking spaces with a clear touch of color and a unique signature, which is exactly what Alpion’s customers are looking for. “Designing a home is a whole world. It’s really a process that’s similar to giving birth. The path is complex and full of challenges, but the satisfaction from the final result is tremendous. Whether it’s an apartment in a tower in Tel Aviv, or a house that needs to be renovated from scratch, the process is similar, involving many professionals and requiring a lot of planning, thought and the ability to master this entire orchestra and achieve the required result.”
You can’t go wrong from the first meeting. She has a captivating personal charm and rare direct abilities to connect with each client from the most natural and authentic place, and perhaps because her love for the profession is evident from the first moment. For nearly a decade, Hidan’s studio has been leading many projects, including: luxury apartments, houses, vacation apartments for foreign residents, property improvements, commercial projects and hotels. “For me, there are several elements that must be present in every design work: a unique and extraordinary idea, the most innovative technology, practicality of the house, uncompromising attention to detail, appropriately matched materials and unique artistic details.”
She defines the style of the magnificent houses she designs as eclectic. “I draw my inspiration from trips around the world, art exhibitions, the natural environment and special materials. For me, every space is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Times and clients who ask me to design for them do not do so by chance. They know that I am a perfectionist, up-to-date with all trends, attentive to the client and unconventional.
Every client wants a unique and creative design, not a replicated Palestinian formula.
The spaces that Hadan plans and designs look like a work of art: “This comes from my immense love for painting, sculpture, architecture and history. I emphasize feelings and atmosphere that match the location of the property, the history of the house and the client’s notebook. What interests me is the story of the family and the home, design needs and a unique aesthetic statement.” Among the selected and prestigious projects that have been designed by her is a Tel Aviv penthouse apartment with a roof designed in a breath of the sea.
“As a designer, I first and foremost create a user experience. I touch the places where people spend most of their lives, at home or in their important work spaces. This is a huge responsibility. My ability to create for my clients an experience of quality of life, of happiness and harmony. In my projects, the clients stay with me at the end of the project and I accompany them for many years. Building a home is a very exciting experience and we are like a family.”
In the world, I mainly connect with the works of Richard Meier and Zaha Hadid.
Luxury homes require meticulous planning with innovative elements and the most advanced technologies in construction. Kitchen, cladding, clothing and furniture from the best international luxury manufacturers. There is nothing to be done, the standards of luxury brands are completely different. Functional planning has a huge significance in the appearance and experience of living in the home. Many clients come to me after purchasing a plot of land, a penthouse or an apartment in a luxury tower and I am almost always forced to change their plans from end to end. From my perspective, the customer is always at the center of attention and conceptual thinking about the home.
I’m constantly receiving offers for interesting projects. One of the special projects I did was to build a complete concept for innovative hotels and visitor centers as part of the “Negev Vision 2030”. I built extraordinary realistic concepts for ecological hotels that blend into nature in the Ramon Crater and Timna Park, as well as huge visitor centers in the Arava and the working Nabatean city. It’s a project that has received much praise and I’m very proud of it. It’s important to me to do large, extraordinary projects that will make a mark. I’m currently working on an innovative concept for integrating AI into architectural design. New technologies will make the world of design much more challenging and interesting. My next goal is to design hotels in my own language. The houses and apartments I design are at the highest hotel standards. My challenge is to design hotels that will give their guests an unforgettable experience.
